What is broccolini
Broccolini or baby broccoli is a green vegetable that is similar to broccoli, but has smaller florets and longer, thin stems.
It’s a mix of broccoli and gai lan (also known as “Chinese broccoli”).
Broccolini has a similar structure to broccoli. It has a slender, elongated stem 15 to 30 centimeters long. All vegetables (leaves, young stems, unopened flower stems and flowers) are eatable.
Its taste is sweet and slightly bitter. It is slightly reminiscent of broccoli and asparagus. It tastes very crunchy.
Broccolini is best eaten steamed, steamed or lightly blanched.
Simply season with a little oil and soy or oyster sauce and the fine taste is overwhelming.
